Swollen gums?
A gum that is swollen, red and tender is inflamed at the base of the tooth. It can start from tartar, from dental work pressing on it, or from a tooth coming through.

What you can do now
- Gentle rinses with warm salt water, several times a day.
- Clean the area gently with a soft brush, even if it is tender.
- Do not use toothpicks and do not put aspirin directly on the gum.
